hurray for novels - ever since the absence of a mandatory english class in high school, i havent found much time to allocate to reading novels just for pleasure. soon after, university just killed it with all the textbook reading. i have the ability to read at a relatively quickly speed when im interested in something, but since going through so many textbooks, its dulled my love for reading and also my skills in writing. it really irritates me that im not able to articulate myself with the proficiency that i used to have, or that my vocabulary was not as vast as it used to be and that i struggled choosing the right words to describe the right circumstances. i think a lot of this can also be attributed to my newfound chosen past time (relatively new at least) of streaming shows when im bored. seriously tv just dulls the mind. so thank goodness for this shortage in bandwidth and thank goodness for billie's library :)
